As part of the annual semester plan related to welcoming first-year students for the academic year, the Council of the Fundamentals of Nursing and Basic Sciences Branch held an expanded meeting chaired by Assist. Lect. Ali Falah Al-Janabi and Assist. Lect. Mohammed Bassem Nadheer, with the attendance of faculty members from both the theoretical and practical disciplines, in addition to a representative of first-year students.
The meeting addressed several key topics, with a primary focus on developing an integrated academic roadmap for the academic year. This was achieved through discussing future plans, mechanisms for curriculum development, and updating both practical and theoretical components in line with the latest approved scientific and nursing standards.
The attendees also discussed anticipated challenges that may face students and the educational process, emphasizing the importance of adopting practical and proactive solutions to ensure smooth instructional operations and enhance academic performance. Furthermore, the meeting stressed strengthening integration between theoretical and practical teaching staff, contributing to the development of clinical skills among new students and unifying educational perspectives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the branch leadership reaffirmed its commitment to providing a motivating and supportive educational environment for first-year students, emphasizing that the college’s mission is to graduate competent nursing professionals equipped with the scientific and practical skills necessary to meet the challenges of fieldwork with efficiency and high professional standards.
